Old Mill Court, Charming Mews House with Parking

Perfect cosy accomodation.in quiet area. Well equipped, kitchen, needed for nothing. Very comfortable beds and good quality bedding. Good location close to shops & harbour. Parking close to house. Lovely to have fresh scones and welcome items on arrival.

Nothing to dislike. Parking adequate - could be very tight if all the holiday lets/houses were in use. Did not bother us & have already rebooked. Blackout blind in main bedroom alongside the curtains would be beneficial as it gets light early morning. Again did not impact stay.

We had an excellent 6 night stay. 5 min walk to town and 10 min walk to Harbour. The house was lovely, felt like home. Enjoyed the jam scones and had milk, tea and coffee for us on arrival. Beds were really comfortable and a nice clean bathroom. Linen and towels were provided (although towels wasn't mentioned on the website, so we did take our own). Kitchen fitted out with everything you needed and they also had a washing machine/dryer. Amazing fish and chips shop opposite the entrance and we found an excellent local community pub called The Burton where they did good cheap food and drink and made us feel so welcome.

There is parking at the property but it may be wise to reverse into the spot as it's tight and we were unable to turn before exiting onto the busy road. This was our first stay at an Airbnb, so I was a little paranoid about the booking etc. I tried contacting Saltwater Escapes a week before via email and landline (message), but I didn't get an answer which is a shame. I did contact someone on a mobile number who finally answered and put my mind at ease, but it would have been nice for Saltwater to return my calls/messages.

Schöne kleine Ferienwohnung in guter Lage, nahe zum Zentrum und Hafen. Ausstattung ist super. Betten und Sofa gemütlich. Küche hat alles was man braucht. Check-Inn war super, Kontakt zum Vermieter sehr einfach.

Wohnung war nicht so richtig sauber, es gab ein paar Ecken, die schon eine Weile nicht mehr gereinigt wurden, z.B. könnte mal die Badezimmerlüftung eine Reinigung gebrauchen. Aus dem Küchenschränken riecht es sehr muffig, wie in vielen alten Gebäuden in Brixham, wenn man regelmäßig lüftet geht es aber. Es war nicht ganz klar, wie der Müll entsorgt werden kann, aber nach einer Rückfrage könnte auch das leicht geklärt werden. Die Pflanzen in der Wohnung sollten auch dann gegossen werden, wenn die Wohnung nicht belegt ist...

Location. Comfort. Quiet. Clean. Great selection of TV programmes.

Parking could be a big issue for some. Even more difficult if you have a large suv or estate vehicle. The entrance width needs to be increased to access properties 2, 3 and 4. Would have been nice to receive a welcome pack of basic food as generally supplied to guests instead of a pint of milk with the expiry date the day of arrival. The only vegetable cutting knife was blunt and there was no means of sharpening it. Suggest the visitor information book requires a rehash primarily regarding layout of general cottage information, then utility booklets with the addition of other information like restaurants, pubs, local sightseeing/museums etc. Clarification on the second bedroom. Would younger children actually wear eye masks as there was no visible way of stopping light from the ceiling roof tunnel?
