Barrio Downtown Mexico City Hostel

The bed- box is great. It's big enough to store your bag in there and then lock the whole 'bed' up when you go out. The bed has the usual things such as a reading light, charging point + USB C ports. It even has a safe in each bed box. The room was cleaned daily. The bathrooms were also spotless, and there was never any queue or problems getting into the showers. I like that they had hair-dryers, shampoo & shower gel. It felt very secure with the room key, plus bed key and 24 hour security. The breakfast is simple yet filling enough. The rooftop was a nice place to chill.

It wasn't particularly social, despite the efforts of the hostel to organise social nights. The staff also seemed completely disinterested and were borderline rude as they never said hello or engaged much. I checked out a day early, and they never asked why & how was my stay etc.

Rooms are always clean. Always smell nice. Beds are comfy. Bathroom is always clean. Showers are very nice, hot water always available at any time of day. They offer walking tours, Lucha Libre nights. Terrace is spacious and chill. You can meet fun guest. Staff is amazing. I stayed in one of the Micro rooms. AC and enough room. Love staying here. There is plenty of nearby places to get a bite to eat. Musicians will really enjoy the area. Music stores are abundant. Drum kits, guitars and much more.

Breakfast is the only thing I do not like. But they do have a vending machine.

The facilities are great, the location lets you explore the city on your own and the hostel itself is a community, the staff is friendly and the activities are well organized. The showers where nice, clean and spacious, there's an elevator so you don't have to carry all that heavy luggage as in other places. I was planning on leaving earlier just because this trip was improvised, but I enjoyed my staying that much that I booked with them 2 more times and for more days!!! Btw, the staff helped me to get last minute tickets for the BTS concert (best day of my life) so at this point I think this is the only place where I want to stay in my next visit!!

The neighbors can be a bit loud, but I'd say it's part of the magic of Centro

The bed - It is like a small room with safe box and space to put things in. Additional, it can be locked as a whole. This is my first time to see bunk designed like that, pretty creative and private. Staff - Very approachable and talkative Facilities - Bathrooms are always available and easy to use.

Location - It is like a double-edge sword. On one side, it is easy to go around in centro area to see a lot of museums. But it is very noisy with car sounds and hi-fi sounds. Because the block is full of hi-fi stores playing very loud nightclub beats. So it is impossible to take a nap in the day. Ventilation - Since the bunk is a whole box so it is a bit hard to get ventilated. The only way is to open your small door or the room door. But the noise problem shows up when you do this.
