Le Nid de l'Aiguille - Au pied de l'Aiguille du midi

We had a very pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent: it's close to the bus stop for the Geneva Airport shuttle, within walking distance of the train station, and there is a grocery store and a laundromat nearby. The Aiguille du Midi cable car is literally across the road, which makes it a perfect base for hiking and exploring the area. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, and it was a pleasure to spend time there. We especially enjoyed the balcony, which has a small table and two chairs—perfect for relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine and some local cheese while enjoying the mountain atmosphere. One downside, which is not the host's fault, is that there are several bars nearby. During our stay, they were showing the Football World Cup matches, and fans were often cheering quite loudly late into the evening. Because Europe was experiencing an exceptional heatwave, we couldn't keep the windows and the balcony door closed, so the noise was quite noticeable and made it difficult to go to sleep early. On the positive side, despite the unusually hot weather, keeping the windows and balcony door open at night and the curtains closed during the day helped keep the apartment pleasantly cool. After a long day of hiking, it was wonderful to return to a comfortable, cool apartment.

The only significant drawback, in my opinion, was the internet connection. Although Wi-Fi is available, the internet was extremely slow and often unusable.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Obwohl das Appartement recht kompakt ist, wird der vorhandene Raum optimal genutzt. Der Balkon ist ein echtes Highlight und bietet einen schönen zusätzlichen Aufenthaltsbereich. Die Lage ist hervorragend. Die Seilbahn befindet sich praktisch direkt vor der Haustür, und das Zentrum von Chamonix mit seiner Fußgängerzone, Restaurants und Geschäften ist in nur wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Ein Supermarkt liegt ebenfalls direkt um die Ecke. Besonders praktisch ist auch der zur Unterkunft gehörende Parkplatz, der sich nur wenige Schritte entfernt befindet. Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um Chamonix und die Umgebung zu erkunden.

Ubicació estupenda, al peu mateix del telefèric Aiguille du Midi. Accès ben regulat i segur, amb eficiència i rapidesa. Molt agradable, net, tranquil i ben equipat. Disposar d’aparcament intern privat en la zona, tot i que a l’estiu deu estar mes saturat.
