About this cabin rental
Welcome to your dream retreat! Want a relaxing, private getaway with family and friends? Enjoy quiet seclusion at its finest with over 40 mountaintop acres of privacy and trails running throughout. Looking to get on the slopes? The property is only 15 minutes to Belleayre Mountain and Plattekill! Conveniences like a grocery store, pharmacy, shopping, and dining are just a short drive away. Working from home? Strong cell service and fast internet complete this pristine mountain getaway.
The property itself boasts two living spaces, making it the perfect spot for families, kids, and friends. The Cabin has one king master bedroom and a loft with a full/twin trundle bed and two full baths. The barn, just steps away, offers two bedrooms each with queen beds, a futon, and 1.5 bathrooms with a separate kitchen. There is a washer and dryer in both the Cabin and the Barn. The Cabin and Barn together will sleep 8-10 comfortably. Sauna, firepit, endless trails, and sledding hills to make lasting lifetime memories. Come enjoy our mountain retreat as much as our family does. You’ll never want to leave!
A few items to note. Well-behaved dogs are welcome! The property is at the end of a privately maintained road. In the winter months, you will need 4WD to get up the driveway if there is snow on the ground. There is a plowing service for the driveway and road, however, please do not book this property if you do not have 4WD. Please also be respectful of the neighbors who live on the road. Our first stay - so impressed! We've rented many Catskill properties over the years and this Running Horse Road hilltop compound was wonderful for all ages. Plenty of room, first-class furnishings, and amenities. Will be back.

We loved everything about this rental. The property is incredibly beautiful. Grassy lawns, fields, woods, trails, mountain views, sunsets. Amazing. There are two houses both with complete kitchens and bedrooms and bathrooms which was perfect for our group of friends, 1 couple, kids, dogs. The versatility was great and both houses are even better than they appear in the photos. The property is at the end of a long dead end dirt road, no close neighbors or traffic. Perfect for our dogs to run and play outside. The owners were super nice, helpful, and always responded quickly. We will be back next year :) Highly recommended!!

This was just the gathering spot our family needed to rest and catch up. Room to spread out, and coziness to gather in. The grandfolks appreciated the king-size en suite in the main cabin, and the young adults with infant enjoyed having the barn for their own space. The upstairs loft with full-size trundle neatly accommodated spry millennials. The sauna was an added bonus enjoyed more than once.
Our hosts were super easy to communicate with and readily available by phone or text. The location was just perfect — open space for wiffle ball and frisbee, surrounded by woods and quiet. Great for bird-watching, campfires, and star-gazing. A remote oasis but with the cute little village of Margaretville a short drive away — with a great grocery store and the requisite Bun ‘n’ Cone pit stop for ice cream. Everyone in our group (including the dogs!) thought it was a perfect getaway. Thank you, Emily and Zach!
