An Unforgettable, Homely Stay Near the Transfăgărășan!
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Popa in Cârțișoara! This charming homestay is run by a wonderful, elderly couple who felt just like grandparents to us. They were incredibly helpful, made us great coffee, offered us food, and were so sweet with our 1- and 3-year-old girls.
The location is perfect—right at the gateway to the Transfăgărășan Highway, just 20 minutes from the Bâlea Lac cable car, and 5 minutes from a petrol station and local grocery shop.
Our room was neat and clean with perfectly working AC and hot water. The back garden is amazing, featuring beautiful farming surroundings, a trampoline, and swings where our kids had so much fun. It felt just like home. We highly recommend it! thank you Victor.

La ubicación es buena para comenzar la Transfagarasan. Los señores de la casa son muy amables y encantadores. El recinto es muy tranquilo y silencioso. El alojamiento tiene todo lo que se puede necesitar.
El colchón necesita ser renovado. Cada vez que un@ se mueve suena muchísimo. La espalda se ha resistido, el descanso no ha sido óptimo.
Es una lastima. Todo lo demás ha estado bien.
