La Suite du Castillet

I spent ten days at La Suite du Castillet in late summer 2025. It is a charming one bedroom apartment in a geographically great location in the old part of the city. The apartment is on what Americans would call the third floor (Europeans would call this the second floor) of an older building. There is no elevator. The apartment has a front / street side room that is a combination living room and kitchen (stove top but no oven). The back room is the bedroom which has an annex which is the modern bathroom (good hot water pressure in the shower). A note about the shower stall; It is a not large and if you are a large person (and I don't mean in regards to height as the ceiling is high) then this might not be the right place for you. There is also a narrow corridor connecting the rooms and apartment door. The front room overlooks a street with restaurants and even with the windows closed and the (quiet) air conditioner on you will hear a lot of noise from the street at night when the restaurants are open (late!). The bedroom is fortunately quiet as the noise does not reach it. If you are planning to have someone sleep in the front room then I strongly suggest earplugs. If I decide to visit Perpignan again then I would definitely consider staying here again. Recommended! A note about another review with what I believe is incorrect information; The building stairs do have lighting. There is a switch you hit when you leave the apartment which turns on lights in the building's stairs for X seconds - more than enough time to navigate the stairs.

Emplacement idéal et sécuritaire, bien décoré. Télé+internet. Propriétaires très réactifs.

Le canapé était absolument inconfortable, nous nous sommes serrées pour dormir à trois dans le lit. Il n’y avait rien pour pendre le linge humide et pas assez de papier toilettes (1 rouleau + 1 rouleau presque fini)

Very cute property, clean, comfortable, great location and loved having air-con in the extreme heat!

The stairs weren’t an issue for us but might have been for those with less mobility, especially in the heat. The key access was a little confusing but that was partly my fault and partly because the building keypad was out of service. A quick text exchange resolved it immediately.

Location was excellent for our requirements.

Incorrect check in /key box instructions, showing us, with photos, to the wrong key box. Took an age to contact the owner to get the correct instructions as to how to get in. Very poor.
