Bella Sirena 304-A - Elegant Oceanview Condo on Sandy Beach

The view was amazing. Super clean all over the resort.

The location of the resort was as good as any on Sandy Beach. The unit we stayed at was reasonably stocked as far as cooking utensils, plates, silverware etc are concerned. The apartment was clean and well furnished, with the exception of a musty smell in the master closet.

The check-in at the gate was fine. The problem was that nobody was able to help us get the code to our apartment and we kept bouncing from the gate to the poolside bar. We could not receive messages till we had wifi and in all of my travel experiences as well as staying at resorts, Arbnb, Vrbo, etc, we were given all the information we needed at least 24 hours ahead of time. Even though I usually bring my own toiletries, I thought it was a bit thoughtless to mention that in an email a few hours before check-in time. It was not as smooth as I expected given I have travelled a lot. The start of my stay was truly a frustrating experience. There were soap dispensers in the bathrooms that were all empty with a couple of cheap bars of small hotel soaps available on the vanities. There was an inch of diluted dishwashing liquid on the sink to wash dishes (a rusted dishrack), a total of 6 rolls of toilet paper, (I had to ask for extra supplies), for a whole week of stay for 5 adult people. There were no dishwasher pods for the dishwasher. I had to ask for those. One of the vanities in the master bathroom was leaking under the sink - which was ongoing (ie not a new leak). On a positive note, there was a relatively quick response to the leak and the short supplies. The wall plate in the master bedroom for the power outlet kept falling off. The shower tap in the master bathroom needed securing as it kept popping off the wall. I think the apartments should be checked at least quarterly, and not rely on just guests' contacting "management" and have repairs done while the guests are trying to vacation not stay put for repairs or waiting for supplies.

We LOVED the comfortable furniture and the abundance of it! The beds were also comfortable. The location is incredible and a short walk to the beach and an immediate walk to the pools and poolside bar/restaurant. The resort itself is wonderful, and the condo was impeccable and had almost every necessity!

Because it’s a third story condo, we would have appreciated a bell cart to wheel our luggage (or instructions on how to get one from the resort). Not a necessity but it would have been a helpful addition! As a side note, we were informed prior to our stay that there would be a $200 damage deposit upon arrival, but we were never asked to submit the money anywhere from the host or the resort. It was a little confusing.

The toilet was diirty when I first walked in. And ants on the counter in the kitchen.
