Bramwell cottage is spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and well equipped. It’s in central location in an attractive village with great shops and a choice of nice places to eat. It’s perfectly located for exploring Hadrian’s Wall and Northumberland. The owner was very responsive and helpful, sorting out a minor problem for us very quickly. The parking permit was a welcome bonus and we didn’t have any problems finding a space near the property. The information about the history and renovation of the property was a nice touch.
A couple of minor improvements that we would suggest would be to put up a mirror in the en-suite shower room and some pegs or hanging space in the second bedroom. The pilllows were far too firm for us but that might have been caused by very tight pillow protectors. We weren’t disturbed by any noise from the adjacent pub however their early morning deliveries might disturb guests sleeping in the front bedroom if they aren’t used to noises from the street.

1) Clothes hanging space in en-suite bedroom
2) Mirror over sink in en-suite
3) Washing machine
