The Nest Danehill

Everything!!! We arrived and were greeted by the owner in the most friendly and helpful way. The Nest is immaculate, beautifully decorated, with everything one would expect and more provided. I had my birthday while we were staying and could not imagine nicer surroundings. The place is wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. We pottered up to the local pub in the evening for an excellent meal, and sat in the most gorgeous beer garden. We also did superb walks through Sheffield Forest, and never needed the car. I cannot recommend this property more highly. For a couple it offers the perfect romantic getaway from it all, but within easy reach of London and the beaches on the Sussex coast.... and, yes, I did swim in the sea on my birthday. We look forward to returning. Thank you.

We loved it all

The perfect little home away from home. I stayed here with my newborn son while my older kids were camping and it was just perfect! Silent, peaceful and a walk from the pub. Enjoyed a bubble bath in the evening and a coffee in the morning looking out at the most amazing view. They also set up a baby travel cot for my son which meant I didn’t have to pack a huge amount and it was very cozy and fit the room perfectly!

The cottage is very sweet and comfortable. The kitchen is fully outfitted and Serena kindly left bread, milk and butter so we wouldn’t need to go back out for groceries. The bed was comfortable, the walk outside the cottage was charming. There is a pub that is a 2 minute walk away that served wonderful meals. The directions and information for the Nest and surrounding areas were excellent! Detailed walking instructions, restaurants, to do in the area. It was impressive how much detail was provided. We felt well taken care of.

Took us a minute to figure out the best way to back down the drive to park. It’s totally manageable just take your time.

The room was stunning cute, clean, well-decorated

I was disappointed to see the bedroom and living room was in the same space. In the room description, it said there was living room and separated bedroom.
