The apartment has a beautiful view over the sea and there's a great cafe directly opposite where good value coffee and snacks were served along with a wonderful, friendly welcome. The apartment is quite well appointed, clean, comfortable and secure.

NOTE: you will need ear plugs if you stay here. The apartment overlooks a very busy road, much like London's North Circular but with added horn-blasting (an Egyptian driving custom) all through the day and most of the night. If you're not used to traffic noise, sleep will be difficult. It was for us. There was an air conditioning unit, but it was in one bedroom only and it didn't work. There's no hot tub, which is listed in the description. No towels were provided. The shower hose in the bathroom leaked, so water pressure from the shower head was inadequate. Communication with the host was difficult: we sent a request for information ahead of our stay by WhatsApp, Booking.com email and Booking.com messaging, to which we had no response, and often there was a delay in response with ad hoc WhatsApp texts during our stay. Responses were mostly flower-based emojis, which, while graceful and welcoming, didn't communicate so very much. It was clear that English is a barrier to clear communication here - when we arrived it was difficult to get access to the keys or to have any clear communication about what to expect. We struggled with this and discovered that the foyer security staff access to the property ends at midnight, which some will find problematic as it felt like a curfew. While the location has its charms, it's not really within easy access to the downtown area, so be prepared for a fair bit of walking.
