    The Gate Hotel Ryogoku by HULIC was very clean and had a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed the beautiful views around Ryogoku and the Sumida River and was able to unwind during my stay. The staff were courteous and kind. Breakfast was delicious, and I also enjoyed the fish and chips and ice cream at dinner. The hotel was easy to reach from Ryogoku Station and convenient for exploring Tokyo. I would happily stay here again.

    The room was large and very comfortable. Japanese bath and wet room shower. Very convienient for JR. 9 minute walk for Tokyo metro. Close to Edo-Tokyo museum, Japanese sword museum, Sumo arena across the road. Also a full size Sumo arena in shopping center attatched to JR station. View was not worth noting despite being touted as 2nd best in Tokyo. Breakfast was great. Good choice of restaurants nearby that were very reasonable. I would stay here again.

    For the amount that we paid for the accommodation, we were expecting a much better hospitality and service to be provided. Asked for crib to be setup before check-in, but was not done. Design of the room could have been better in terms of shelf/storage space, hangers, chair stools are not the most comfortable. Front desk staffs are straight to the point and addresses specifically our asks, but didnt go for the extra mile. Location is pretty decent, near to the train station and near proximity to Asakusa and Akihabara if you want to visit those places.
