💯 recommended if:
- you look for privacy, nature and relaxation
- you love being in the wild, the resort is 11 minutes car by kinosaki village and they provide free shuttle service
- best tatami room i had so far in japan
- from the tatami room there's a little dining space with fridge and stunning views to the woods ( it's so inspiring if you need to write or doing artistic activities)
- there is an onsen bath available
- the staff is super kind and respectful.
I'm a solo traveller going across japan through onsen villages with the purpose of drawing/painting during my trip. This was so relaxing and i really had the chance to connect with my inner self/creativity.

Good value for money but quite a distance from Kinosaki centre. Not a walkable distance so own transport or taxi needed.

Disappointed Stay – Request Not Fulfilled
I specifically requested a non-smoking room with Western beds, twin beds, and a higher floor with good scenery when I made the booking months in advance. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I did not receive a proper Western bed arrangement as requested, which was quite disappointing.
Although the staff tried to help by setting up a foldable spring bed, it was still very different from an actual proper bed and not as comfortable as expected. My parents had difficulty sleeping on it during the night.
I requested a room change the following day. The staff explained that the other rooms were already fully occupied, so I understand the situation may have been difficult to arrange. However, it still made the experience more inconvenient and tiring for my family.
I also feel that clearer communication before arrival would have helped manage expectations better. Since the reservation was made well in advance, I had hoped the hotel could either confirm the requested arrangement earlier or inform us beforehand if it would not be possible.
Breakfast was served more like a traditional dinner course rather than buffet style. If you do not like fish, the main alternative available was rice.
On the positive side, the room itself was clean and the scenery was nice. The hotel also provided Japanese costumes to wear, which was a nice cultural touch and made the stay experience more memorable. However, the room arrangement was still an important part of the stay experience, especially when travelling with family.
