Our 2-bedroom apartment here was spacious and comfortable. The housekeeping is immaculate. We arrived at 10 am, and Maria graciously stored our luggage until check-in time. We walked two blocks down the street to Coffee Rise and then went one more block to Red Pepper for lunch at noon. Our apartment was ready by the time we returned. The next morning, Giorgio drove us to the airport at 3:15 am. Who could ask for anything more?

Marie was an excellent host. It is 5 miles from the. Airport but that is still close as the airport is new and pretty far from Athens. Easy cab and uber. We enjoyed the “not a big hotel” atmosphere. Walked to a neighborhood restaurant

The location is what made us choose Carpe Diem, Maria never failed to respond to every inquiry. The apt was very clean and comfortable with complete amenities. Restaurants are in walking distance and safe to walk. Airport transfer was at a very reasonable price (thanks to George and their son) and always on time!! 100% recommendable for guests who are looking for a short stay and close to the airport.

Main drawback was the host was sometimes unreachable/ unresponsive to messages. My fiance and I stayed at the Carpe Diem Apartment for a night just when we arrived to Athens. Maria was extremely welcoming and nice, and her husband came to the airport to pick us up after only 10 min we messaged them! We particularly appreciated this after a long exhausting flight from Sydney !! The place was very well kept, new, spotless and very quiet. There was literally everything we need to feel at home, and the mattress and pillows were absolutely fabulous in terms of quality and comfort, rare to find in a b&b. That helped us a lot to feel restored after a stressful travel! We also liked the big shower head! Outside there was a really nice green area with lots of flowers and trees that helps to relax and find peace. Some cats may walk out there to say hello and a cute dog is happy to receive some cuddles! We warmly recommend this place to anyone visiting Athens, and we will go back for sure if in the area. Thank you so much Maria and George for your hospitality! 😊🙏

Our stay at Carpe Diem was wonderful. The staff communicated well leading up to the trip and was very responsive. If you’re looking for airport transfers, definitely use their services as they are quick and extremely convenient. They personally welcomed us, even at a late hour. The neighborhood is quiet and the accommodation was clean and as described in the listing. Everyone was so friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this location to anyone looking for great accommodations in the area.

Our apartment was very simply and tastelessly furnished. Some of the furniture was very old (especially the kitchen, wardrobe, etc.). The bathroom was renovated, but very small. It was okay for one night, but not suitable for a longer stay in our opinion. The price-performance ratio was not good. We would choose different accommodations next time.

Giorgos and Maria, our hosts, were incredible. They welcomed us without hesitation despite the late hour, and their warm hospitality made all the difference. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with filtered water and a Nespresso-style coffee machine—small touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. Free street parking was also a great perk since we had a rental car. We were so happy with our stay that we returned again a few days later to rest before our early-morning flight home. Just a short 5-minute walk away is an amazing local grill house, Κοκκινη Πιπερια (“Red Paprika”), which we highly recommend. Carpe Diem is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a well-priced, convenient, and welcoming place to stay near the Athens airport.
