    I booked a room with twin beds through Agoda, but due to a data error, only a queen bed was available. When I complained, the hotel provided a complimentary extra bed. That was excellent service. Thank you.

    Check in went smooth by the great lady staff. She is perfect and great personality. Room is very comfy and bed is awesome. Overall, the housekeeping and the hall staff are great. Breakfast varierty is below average. 2 days serve tasteless fried rice. They serve salty luncheon meat, bee hoon/kuek tiao soup with vegetable only. No meat or fish ball. Eggs fried with spread yolk, not so friendly auntie and white porridge with no usual condiments. I am the porridge lover and enjoy in hundreds of hotel breakfast except Alva. Horrible with zero sincere to serve their breakfast. Luckily, they have a team of attentive staff to clear the table. Poor location which need to rely on the shuttle bus or else across the road for buses to wanchai, airport, etc... 7-11 at ground level. Alva is new and well maintained. Comfort sleep and good rest after a tired day. Up to you to choose a relaxed comfort stay with nearly nothing around, or else go for 帝都，their sister hotel, at 沙田地鐵站 and bridge connected to the massive shopping mall.
