Nice room for an Eskimo and if on diet you’re ok otherwise only go at weekends in October

The room was separate from the hotel with its own parking area, I was spacious with a double bed and table and chairs. The bathroom well proportioned with a double shower

Couldn’t turn the heating on in the room was on par with a fridge. Signs in the room saying discounts for residents, see receptionist on asking only if you have food. Then to be told no food available until Friday. The room also had menus stating breakfast and other food available, might be a suggestion to remove these when not serving. Found the drinks overpriced and not as cold as should be, hence only 3 people drinking in the bar.

Good Budget Vacation 👍

Location, parking facilities and value for money. Comfy beds, rooms spotless, could smell bleach as entered the room (not an issue). Room was supplied with a hairdryer and a tower fan (however didn't use these). Couple shops and bars right on the doorstep (think we were in the quiet end of Ingoldmells) but still within walking distance of fair/arcades etc.. We would book again.

The only negative, if I have to give one is the size of the ensuite. If your on the larger size you may find it abit tight! Other than that, the room was adequate for our stay.

Good stay just overpriced

Nice room bed comfortable very clean and tidy only down fall was the price £90 for a nights stay you can’t check into 3pm and out for 10.30 but the hotel was great just the price factor

- Location is fantastic. - Room was very clean. - Bed was Comfortable. - Shower was powerful.

On the final night my key card wouldn’t work. Which meant a member of staff had to let me into my room. Apart from that a perfect stay.

A really great location that is on the doorstep of everything to do

Location was great. Staff at reception were very helpful

Had to ask for toilet roll to be replaced instead of it being done automatically which was odd and difficult when we had a 3 year old recently toilet trained

Anchor hotel

Love the location,and how quiet the hotel is. Loads of nice places to get food and drink nearby too.

Food quality had gone downhill from last year,but think it was a different chef. Everything was overcooked,and the steak pie was dried out,and i couldn't even cut the pastry with my knife

Nice Couple of Days in Ingoldmels

We liked the location of the room as it was not in the main Ingoldmels area. The room itself was nice, clean and had tea/coffee facilities, double bed and bunk beds. It was quiet at night and there was plenty of parking at the rear of the pub. We only drank in the pub once and never ate there although you get a 10% discount card for food and drinks but you have to buy both at same time to get the discount, we coudn't have the discount on the drinks only. All in all the room was good to stay in for a couple of days.

I was worried we would hear the noise from the bar but it was quiet in the rooms. The rooms were a good size and had everything we needed

The green light been on all the time in the room also we stayed in no 4 superior room has a squeeky roof bit that bangs the pipe outside that when its windy it blows and squeeks but with both these things did eventually get to sleep once wind died down

we were in a deluxe room, it was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. the bathroom was big with a walk-in shower. would stay again in that accommodation.

Unexpected Night away.

Lovely place, we have stayed several times over the years, we usually stay in the Annexe but ours was a last-minute trip this time so we stayed in the main hotel. The room was comfortable and big enough for our use. Situated in a good spot away from the louder areas but close enough to walk to main spots.

Unfortunately, there isn't much soundproofing, and we were situated right at the top of the entrance stairs, not a complaint but more of an observation, families with children who have enjoyed a very late night out coming in and running along the corridors, screaming and shouting and doors banging, not really the hotels fault maybe more of a consideration of the parents otherwise no real dislikes.

Acceptable, not great!

The room was well suited for a family of 5, not many can offer that. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. All basics covered. Location very convenient.

The advertised WiFi was non existent and no phone signal in the rooms either. (With 3 children, not good) Lack of plug sockets, none at all in the family part of the room. Staff and service basically non existent. We were made to feel they did us a favour even letting us in.

Great place to stay for a quick weekend away

Close to beach, bus stops close by, shops and food places on door step. Hotel itself was clean and the breakfast is reasonably priced and was nice too.

The floor in our room needed a sweep and the shower fell off the wall so had to piece it back together and balance it back up. The kettle needed replacing as someone had cooked noodles in it? Totally unusable. Everything else was up to standard

Lovely place in a great location ,

A very comfortable room, a great shower, nice food and free parking which was a bonus.

Having to take our 9 year old into the family room to eat even though it was only 4pm when we were told on arrival that kids were allowed in the main room until 6pm. It really is just a minor niggle.

Great location. shame about the noise

very close to bars and shops

noisy.. people (children) slamming doors. very small bathroom. 1 tiny wardrobe and no drawers to put clothing away. sound reverberating through the room through the daytime. sounded like a loud fan. At night someone was banging for ages on another rooms door and shouting it smelt of weed in the communal areas.
