Excellent, affordable and extreme close to the French Quarter. Love the stuff being helpful and polite and great game night/meet up. Definitely good back there again in the future

This was my first stay at a hostel and it exceeded my expectations. I cannot stress enough how safe I felt. I chose a female dorm with six bunks. It was so quiet and peaceful. The bedding was so cozy. The room had a blackout shade drawn just enough to allow light in so no need to use the overheads. My carry-on and backpack fit perfectly in my locker next to my bunk. There are plenty of very clean, private bathrooms w/showers & hairdryers. The decor throughout the hostel gives off the most chill vibe. On entry you’ll find the check-in counter and receiving room with the comfiest furniture, WiFi,pool table, large multipurpose table and a set of shelves with plenty of books and games for entertainment. There are no weapons. smoking, drugs or drinking allowed. The guests were a lovely array of people. From groups of high school kids with chaperones, to musicians, college students, elderly, families, and solo travelers. I had the pleasure to chat with a few and enjoyed hearing about where they were from. Theres a coffee/tea station and full industrial kitchen with fridge storage. There is a neat cafe with some top notch food. Coco was at the bartender and a delight to chat with. The entire staff’s hospitality would rival that of even the finest hotels. The canal st trolley is right outside the front door! I’ll be staying at more HI USA hostels from now on when I travel.
