Beautiful resort, attentive staff, a generous room upgrade, and one of the best hotel breakfasts we have had in years. We had a wonderful stay at Ana Anan Resort & Villas Pattaya. We initially booked an Oceanview Skybath room, but it was fully booked when we arrived, so the hotel generously upgraded us to a villa with an ocean view and private pool. It was a lovely surprise and made the stay even more memorable. The staff were attentive, welcoming, and very professional. Many of them also spoke English, which made everything easy and comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised to see that most guests were Thai, which felt like a good sign for the quality and reputation of the resort. We highly recommend spending an evening outside at Over the Moon. The atmosphere is beautiful, especially at night. The brunch was another highlight and honestly one of the best we have had at a hotel in years, with abundant choices ranging from Thai dishes to Western options, including many vegetarian-friendly items. The only small downside is that vegetarian options at Over the Moon and Under the Sun were more limited compared with the breakfast/brunch selection. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would happily recommend Ana Anan.

I had high expectations for this stay, but unfortunately the experience did not meet the standards I would expect from a 5-star property. First, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the best choice. In the building where I stayed, conversations from people walking past the room could be clearly heard. Housekeeping activities, including vacuum cleaning, were also noticeable and affected the overall sense of privacy and relaxation. Second, breakfast management could be improved, especially during long weekends and peak occupancy periods. Many hotels proactively ask guests for their preferred breakfast time to better manage crowd flow and maintain food quality. During my stay, the breakfast experience felt overcrowded, and while the selection was adequate, it was not particularly memorable in terms of taste or presentation. Third, room cleanliness was generally acceptable, but there was one practical issue with the bathtub design. The bathtub does not have a handheld shower, which made it difficult to rinse away bath bomb residue and soap after use. As a result, the surface remained slippery and was not easy to clean thoroughly, which impacted the overall bathing experience. Finally, the outdoor environment and beach access did not fully align with the luxury atmosphere the hotel aims to provide. The use of artificial grass in several areas felt somewhat artificial, and in some spots there was a noticeable musty odor. These details may seem minor individually, but together they reduced the premium feeling that guests typically expect from a 5-star resort. Overall, the property has potential and some attractive features, but there are several areas that could be improved to create a more refined and memorable experience.
