We had reached out to the hotel before booking regarding luggage storage and we were told that it was a service they offered. We were going to be arriving around 9a but check in wasn't until the afternoon. The morning of, we got an email stating that the front desk would be closing for the day at 3p. I responded immediately asking how we'd get our bags and was told "we'll figure something out". Upon arriving, there was no secure place to store our bags and rather we were told to leave them by the desk and he would move them to our room later. This was not a great solution but later that night, we did find they were in our rooms safely. The room was awful. A 4 person room for a mixed group of people had windows that you could see into the shower and toilet area!!!! I was traveling with my brother, his wife and a friend. There was also a lot of janky "fixes" to the room. A drawer turned on it's side covering up a hole in the floor to act as a side table. Thank goodness we were only staying one night but I can not, in any way, recommend this property. Even worse, it was the 2nd most expensive hotel on our trip and the 2nd worst!

The room is spacious but a mini fridge /kettle would have been nice. The neighboring room was smoking a lot so we could smell smoke our room a lot of the time. The hotel is up a hill which was ok for us. Roughly 15-20 min walk to the city center area.

This hotel was really hard for check-in. There is only a person for limited hours. If you check-in outside those hours, you have to use an iPad on the street. It made me feel uncomfortable to be entering all my passport info while standing on a street. Also, as an American family, we ran into the issue that it required a PIN to use the credit card to check in -- American credit card companies don't have PINs. Then, despite having international cell service, we couldn't place a call to get help. We just had to wait and bang on the windows for help. The guy came and was helpful, but I'd highly recommend a different approach. Also, the parking situation was horrible -- you pull into a small garage and go up on metal lifts that sound like they are smashing apart as you drive onto them. The garage is very tight, and other guests were not accommodating as we maneuvered. Finally, we were in a family room. It was clean, but there was clear evidence of leaks, and everyone in the room could see through the translucent walls/doors to watch someone use the toilet and shower. It was very clean, and it was in a good location.

A bit mid a walk from the train/bus but worth the peace and quiet. Felt very safe coming and going. Nice room, comfortable. Only comments are that the WiFi is not good once you leave reception area, wasn’t allowed to access the garden, and poor view from room - looked right into apartments next door. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

Walking distance to downtown. No cups or kettle in room. Floor didn't seem to be cleaned at all as there was sticky stuff upon arrival and when we wet some paper we were able to clean it off. Paper got pretty dirty. Fridge only upon request, not in every room

Terrible Experience - Stay Away! I had the worst experience of my life at Hotel Abalon in Stuttgart some weeks ago. The hotel is far from the city center, which made everything inconvenient. But what made it truly unbearable was the staff's behavior. They were incredibly rude and made me wait for over an hour under 35-degree sun because they claimed no rooms were available at 4 p.m. When I finally got my room, it was filthy. I found dirt and grime in the bathroom. But the worst part? The bedsheets had stains and small insects crawling on them. I went immediately to complain, but the arrogant reception staff did absolutely nothing to help. Of course I couldn’t tolerate staying there any longer, so I left the hotel with my mother and needed to pay for a second hotel as the staff of course didn't do anything about my complaint. This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in all of Europe. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs.

No AC no fan, it was dry and hard to rest and breath in this room, I know is cheap but still ain’t worth it. Everything else was good though. Oh bed was was super uncomfortable.

Our room was booked at the physical hotel address. When we checked in, we were given a room at a different location-an apartment building-a quarter of a mile away. That room had no internet and was on a floor that had a very strong smell of cigarettes and cooking. Hotels.com completely resolved our problem by rebooking us with a different hotel. We would highly recommend AVOIDING the Abalon as they can obviously move you to a location other than the actual hotel.

This hotel is as stated in the title. Nothing fancy. Rooms are very adequate for two. Beds are very comfortable. A very good bathroom with standup shower. The Hotels.com picture is what you actually see upon entering the room. There is an adequate shelf and clothes hanging area. Office, cleaning and breakfast personnel are very attentive to your need. Office is closed from midnight to 06:00. Noise between rooms and hallways are are generally quiet, as long you do not get someone in room next to you playing TV too loud. Bottom floor has door leading to outside patios. Parking garage available. Recommend purchasing the Breakfast. Very nice setting. It has a very good selection of meats, cheeses, fruits. wet/dry cereals and multiple hot/cold beverages, 07:00-11:00! The only minor drawback to this hotel may be its location on a hill for the steep walk up and down for the elderly seeking the city restaurants and transportation lines. REWE grocery store and bakery is close by past the circle.

We stayed for a long weekend to visit the Christmas markets and were very pleased with how easy it was to walk to town from the hotel - just 10 mins or so, yet on a quiet side street. The staff were excellent - very friendly, kind and helpful. Everything was clean, our beds were comfy and there was a good range of options available for breakfast.

The hotel itself is adequate, however, th parking is advertised at 9.50 euro per day so we booked. On arrival told it's 20 euro a day and if we don't like it go somewhere else but it's still 20 euro. By then too late to go somewhere else. Big rip off sorry.

For a stop half way to holiday location: good alternative. The only negative experience: we had a room at the zero floor: very loud and sigar smoke (by neighbours) via the balcony. Next time we'll ask for a room at second or third floor.

We stayed for 2 nights. Great location for tourist because everything is walk distance. Really close the restaurants, shopping malls, and attractions. The staff are very nice.
