    Loved our stay at Lavana hotel. It was an excellent location. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the house speciality, pineapple rice for dinner.

    Selected this hotel because the Agoda listing included a gym - it does not have a gym. We were extremely disappointed for being mislead by the listing. Other than that, the hotel is clean, quiet. Daily housekeeping (which you don't get anymore in most hotels in North America). Great restaurant on main floor. Great location - very walkable. Saturday market in front of hotel, so street does get busy, but it's a great market.

    I had a wonderful stay here just 10 days prior. The room was delightful and the view was so good that I booked my next stay here for the same room. I spoke to the manager who assured me I would get the same room and paid the up charge before I left. When I arrived, I was given the key to a different room. I told them that was not the room that I had reserved. They told me that they were sorry, but that room was no longer available. They put me in a different room, two floors down and instead of looking at the temple, I was looking into somebody else’s room. When I saw the manager the next day, he said we’re going to move you to a better room. Let me know when you’re ready to move. So they did turned out, it wasn’t a better room. It was a smaller room and no bathtub which is why I paid the up charge. So I told them that that room would not work and I needed to go back into the room that I just vacated. They said well that’s going to be a problem because it’s only available for one night so no matter what you’re going have to go back to that room we just went to. That’s when I informed them that I would not be staying here another night and if the *** around the corner had a room for me, I would not spend another night at the Lavana.. The manager could only give me the excuse that his staff made the mistake and gave the promised room to somebody else. All I can say that is if you were an effective manager, you would have made sure that wouldn’t have happened. I will never come back.
