I stayed here for eight nights during the winter season, and it was the perfect base for a ski trip.
The location is incredibly convenient for accessing all the surrounding ski resorts, and having Lawson and 7-Eleven just a short drive away made it easy to grab essentials.
The room itself is simple but very comfortable and exceptionally clean.
A huge highlight for me was the shower; the hot water was consistent and reliable, which is a major plus during the freezing winter months and something I’ve struggled with at other properties.
For those who are skiing or snowboarding, the resort comes with a dry room. It’s a great setup that ensures all your gear is dry and ready to go for the next morning.
If you are driving, there is ample parking available. The city seems to clear the snow daily, as I never had any issues with my vehicle getting stuck.
Beyond the facilities, the hospitality here is wonderful. The daily breakfast is delicious and provides the perfect amount of fuel for a full day on the slopes.
The entire place is filled with such warmth and care. I would definitely stay here again!

Positive:
(1) Well located directly at the lake.
(2) The owner was very friendly.
(3) Kayaking is included as a service
Not so positive:
(1) What You see at agoda and Booking, is NOT, what You get! Beware: Extreme photoshopping! Maintenance strongly needed! The building outside rusty, the entrance interiour weared, the rooms - japanese style, renovation strongly recommended.
(2) Cleanliness and Order is not like japanese style. Roughly 100l Petrol gas in jerrycans in the entry area? The smell! I guess this does not meet japanese safety requirements, nor any..., Not really messy, but almost. Not really sloppy, but almost. Maybe there are nature guys, who like this...
(3) The bedding is more for guys, to whom other things are important, principally clean, not filthy, but there is such a unconfortable feeling...
(4) The standard breakfast was very basic, presented on a plate.
All this more expensive than our four star plus hotels before. The borderline between a good deal and fraud is fluid.
