    Our stay at the Hotel 1899 Tokyo was great, as expected. Nothing else to say to be honest. When I come back to Tokyo I will seriously consider coming back to that hotel. Thank you!

    This hotel was really lovely, the cafe on the ground floor was great, the staff was wonderful. There were a few noise issues in my original and the staff moved me to the top floor, room had a view of Tokyo tower. I hadn't spent much time in the neighborhood (Shinbashi/Azabudai) and it was great to be there, lots of food and shopping and transit. Overall a really positive experience.

    Good breakfast and clean place. We are able to get around Tokyo fine. Train station is 10 mins walk from hotel

    We stayed in the 1899 Hotel Tokyo five times in the last two years and have the feeling this one will be our last. The hotel itself is as it was the first time we stayed there. Very clean, decent location. We do not mind walking 10min to the next metro stop. Many convenience stores in just a few minutes walk. But, the staff is getting less and less attentive though. The first few times, we always felt very well treated and were always looking forward to coming back to this hotel. The last time, people did not really treat you with care or welcomed us cordially. If an overseas tourist choses to come to Tokyo five times, I would at least expect a short "welcome back" or "we hope you enjoyed your stay". None of that happened, just 3min check-in, 2min checkout. No care in our needs or how we liked being in this hotel. Also, there is a loud construction site right in-front of the hotel. The noise starts at 7am and continues the whole day. We did not sleep one night properly and felt well rested. I am aware, the hotel is not a fault, but they could have informed us upfront about the noise. I would have not booked the nicest room, when I cannot sleep properly anyways. So this time I do regret staying here, and regret getting the bigger room. Crying my money a little and probably need to look for a new hotel in the future.
