    The property is very nice, beautiful, very courteous staff. BUT the food is extremely expensive. We had one Tanjavur thali, 2 pinapple juice and one fried mushroom, one tea, one coffee, one Chinese fried rice,(we were tricked to buy it as the choice of Maharaja of Thanjavur), one dosa. Can you guess the bill? A whooping 4500!!! While we were leaving we were asked to pay this food bill. I asked for itemised bill, was told we will WhatsApp. But till now it hasn't reached me. So, stay there but dont eat anything 🙃

    A calm, natural setting and real heritage character make this hotel a lovely choice in Thanjavur. It is close to the old bus station, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing and temple visits. If you want an authentic, traditional experience rather than a modern chain hotel, this is the place for you. The property has a vintage feel that will appeal to travelers who enjoy heritage stays. With a little more focus on maintenance and guest service, this hotel could be even better, and I’ve shared this with the management as encouragement to look after the property well. I’d recommend it to tourists and travelers from across India who are looking for a heritage experience in Thanjavur.

    After seeing so many reviews, we chose this place for our 2 days stay. Sadly was worst experience with no water bottles to drink, no toiletries and no towels. They took 2 hours to clean the room before handing it over to us, but pathetically nothing was cleaned. Food is even horrible with 1 thali is sold for ₹1250 and 1 tea was ₹300. There are many better places for the money they charge with amazing experience. Sadly this experience spoiled our Tanjavur stay for 2 days, couldn’t checkout after a day since we had already paid such an hefty amount for this 0star.

    Extremely disappointing experience. The hotel is poorly maintained, and it seems the management is no longer paying attention to its upkeep. The cleanliness is terrible, the facilities are inadequate, and the staff service is very poor. Overall, the hotel is not worth the money at all. I would not recommend staying here.
