    We book the place last minute and it exceeded our expectations! The vibe is peaceful and the view is astonishing Food from their restaurant is great, we dined 3 times and all were perfect! Staff are courteous and accommodating. Going there is quite steep, but not much a problem Overall we had a perfect stay and definitely be back

    Staff are nice. Place is very peaceful and feels exclusive given that they only have 9 rooms. It is relaxing with all the lush greens and quiet view of Taal Lake. One thing that can be improved is how they manage the insects :( Given that trees and tall plants are abundant, insects are abundant, too. Mosquitoes are no joke. Food is also okay. Pricing is a bit on the higher side so choose your meal well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

    We have dined at their restaurant before which is how we discovered the hotel. So for a special occassion, we decided to book a Family Room to finally try out this place overnight! Some things went great, some need improvement. WHAT WE LOVED: 1. The view is SPECTACULAR - If there is anything that about this place that makes you want to come back again it is the beautifuk landscape of Taal Lake - You get to see it from a different angle with the vastness of the lake, blue skies, and mountains. Wow, just wow! 2. SALT WATER POOL - we were blessed with great weather during our stay. The pool area was not too hot, and the water was not too cold - it was just right! Plus the salt water felt nice on the skin. 3. GREAT RECEPTION STAFF - from the moment we arrives till the moment we left, the staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed. WHAT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: 1. BED AND LINEN - I gotta say, the rooms from the marketing pictures look nice but in reality they are a bit worn and needs some deep cleaning. The linens (bedding and towels) did not feel freshly cleaned - it was kulob or as if it had been stored in the closet for a very very long time... we actually had to ask the staff to replace the pillowcase because there was a bad stain that looked like the pillows were not cleaned after use. They also only provided a FLAT SHEET for blanket. 😅 For the price we paid, I honestly expected better quality bedding and blanket. So if you are hoping for a good comfy sleep, I don't really recommend this place. 2. PLACE NEEDS CLEANING - You can tell not a lot of people probably go here because they don't seem to clean shared spaces that much. The lounge seats are dusty and have debris. The room also - not sure if it is the humidity or what, but it has a very distinct wet wood smell upon entering that was not very appealing to me. 3. NO BREAKFAST INCLUDED - you dine and pay for breakfast seprately at their restaurant which is fine. But I have been at other resorts that provided breakfast and even a simple meal just makes the whole experience so much more enjoyable and special. Overall, because of our desire to enjoy the place we were able to make the most of our overnight stay. Unless they improve the above mentioned, I don't think I will be coming back for the hotel. I feel like the place was overpriced and basically you are paying for the VIEW not so much the amenities of the hotel. Will come back to the restaurant though for the views!
