    I had a pleasant night's stay at the Norfolk Hotel. Had my dinner in their restaurant cum bar. On the whole very good and convenient for my quick trip into Fremantle.

    The bar and restaurant is really nice and you get a drink coupon as a hotel customer. The staff are helpful. The rooms are cozy and the bathrooms are shred but I never ran into anyone else. (1 shower, 1 toilet and 2 sinks in the women’s room; 2 showers, 1 toilet, 2 sinks in the men’s room). Electric kettle, sink, vanity and full length mirror in the room, as well as mini fridge and a nice selection of teas, plus some coffee, sugar, milk and bottled water. Fresh clean linens and worn but definitely clean rooms, with a view of the street. It’s a bit noisy but the aircon in the room easily drowns out the street noise and other guests.

    Booked a single room with a shared bathroom. The room and common toilet were clean. The room comes with a water tap and fridge, which is convenient for washing. The location is good—diagonally opposite Fremantle Market. The staff were friendly and allowed late checkout. However, if you require a quiet place, this may not be suitable, as the ground floor is a bar and restaurant and can be quite noisy until midnight on Friday night and weekend!
