Room was eh. Wasn't well cleaned. Ran out of toilet paper and no front office staff, so no one to contact, unless you want to sit on WhatsApp trying to get TP. They had lockers for luggage drop off, but they empty nightly at 8pm, and several were broken. Couldn't get early check in to drop off luggage, so had to cab back mid tours to get luggage into the rooms. Had two rooms, and they gave us the wrong room number on one, so was dealing with customer service on WhatsApp and that was extremely time consuming as I had someone trying to tell me that I don't know how to enter a code, yet they gave me the wrong room number! They said they told me the right one, and I sent screen shots. No response except for let us know if you need anything lip service and ignoring the inconvenience. No elevator, so this error on their part is discovered after hauling all heavy luggage up three flights of stairs. Wasted so much time trying to get this resolved. Ended up dumping luggage in 2nd room until we could get this sorted, as we had dinner reservations. So much hassle. Location was ok. Room was a bit dirty. It was a bit hot at night, (I know, AC not standard,) so noisy (I had earplugs) when windows were opened and mosquitos came in and got all bitten up. Would not rebook. Pros: nice patio area

The hotel is a great base for visiting Florence, in a slightly quieter neighbourhood but still plenty of food and drink options nearby and all the big attractions are a walkable distance away. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Staying at Numa Palazzo San Niccolò was an interesting experience. The property itself has a lot of historic character, and being in Florence, you really do get a sense of the city’s charm from the building and its surroundings. That said, travelers should be aware of a few practical aspects. The hotel uses self check-in, so there is no on-site staff to assist with things like luggage, which can be difficult since there are many stairs to reach the rooms. In the room itself, there were no clear instructions on where to dispose of trash, and supplies like trash bags weren’t provided. Attempts to reach assistance by phone were also unsuccessful. The Wi-Fi connection was quite weak during my stay, which made it difficult to use. Additionally, there were private events held in the garden during the evening that brought some noise late into the night. Overall, the building has a beautiful and historic feel, and if you’re mainly looking for atmosphere and location, you’ll get that here. However, guests who value convenience, reliable service, and modern amenities may find the experience less straightforward.

Very clean and secure. I loved that everything was digital. The idea of having the same passcode for the front gate and room made it simple for us! Thank you for a wonderful stay. It was walkable and close to the areas we wanted to visit.

This hotel was very clean, great location away from the craziness of the main central tourist area in Florence so that was nice. It was very clean. Note that this hotel is 100 percent digital so theirs no reception, staff, no one at all. You see maybe a grounds keeper in the morning but that’s it. We didn’t see anyone in 2 days. They have a digital key pad everywhere including the entrance, room etc. I personally had no issues with the checkin/out process. A few days before you get n email with instructions just follow those steps and you will get the code the day of. The backyard area is lovely but lots of mosquitoes so be ware. We got so many bites. The only issue we had was that we had free breakfast through hotels.com but it didn’t show up on their system but I contacted them (WhatsApp) and they refunded me what I paid. Breakfast was very good at a place next door to the hotel. At first we were ok with the no reception concept but we stayed n extra day at a nearby hotel with reception and the difference having someone on site was big. You get to talk and interact about the area with someone that has knowledge and personal experiences and recommendations instead of relying on a google search. The area is lovely with some nice restaurants near by. Again I had no issues except the breakfast situation but it was resolved. I probably wouldn’t come back because of the reasons I noted above. This is the future I’m not ready for it.

One of the best places we stayed in Italy. It was super clean. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are spacious. They have a beautiful garden. Check-in and check-out is a breeze. They have luggage storage. We were able to do our laundry. It is within walking distance from the train station (about 20-30inites). Within walking district from all the major tourisr spots. Really enjoyed our stay.

The place is very, very nice. Beautiful. Gorgeous and comfortable. However the digital checking in and checking out were so stressful that it outweighed the luxury of the experience. the system didn’t recognize my confirmation number, I was unable to scan my passport, all while my phone battery was fading, in the middle of a thunderstorm in a bus station after an 18 hour bus ride. They were able to help me check in but it took an hour. The system didn’t recognize my phone number when I went to check out, again taking more time than it should have and causing stress about making the next connections. Next trip I will prioritize hotels with on site reception. A smile welcome and good bye, putting a friendly face to a new city, are, for me, the most meaningful luxuries.

The location was great - the apt was perfect for us with good AC the check in process was rough but we figured it out.

The property was charming and fun. However there are no staff on site so getting the code and getting in was confusing (another man there actually just left to get another room). We had some trouble with luggage storage, and again no one to problem solve…there was apparently a manager on site who refused to come assist, instead a housekeeper attempted to problem solve.

My wife and I absolutely loved the location, beauty and charm of this location. Florence can be a little busy, and this is just enough off the beaten path and in the perfect location to offer the perfect landing spot for our time in Florence. The back porch, breakfast spot were incredibly peaceful and serene!

This is a self-service hotel. There is no reception, but you communicate with the staff through WhatsApp. You get a code, after everything is paid online, that you use to enter the front door and the room itself. Very big and nice room, with a small kitchen and a separate area with chairs, and a separate bedroom. Lot of space. There is also a laundry room in the basement. In the backyard there is a nice garden, and there is a pop-up cafeteria, where you can buy breakfast/brunch/lunch.

This is one we’d absolutely recommend and return to. Our space was clean and well appointed. Nice sitting area, comfy bed, clean and well functioning restroom. There is a nice private courtyard to share with fellow guests as well as bottle fillers and a laundry. The area surrounding was great for restaurants and a little nightlife. It was easily walkable to most of the sites. Overall easy 5/5!

This apartment was modern and easy to access. There is a garden area that is quiet and private. The host was detailed with instructions and quick with responses. The apartment is located on the third floor and has 2 bedrooms up an additional staircase. If your party has difficulty with stair, it may not be a good fit. The only issue encountered was parking. There is a paid lot approximately a 5 minute walk away.

The Palazzo has spacious rooms, with a good kitchenette, and a convenient location to many sites in Florence. We were on the floor above street level, next to the street and it was loud. If you’re at all sensitive to noise, bring ear plugs and ask for a room facing the garden.

As soon as you get to the property they let you know that they are NOT an hotel so they will not offer cleaning service in your room. It was a little disappointing because they don’t mention that on Expedia or their website. Bed was clean but a little hard for us, the bathroom had bad smell (mould) and low water pressure. A/C works, I do not recommend the breakfast buffet, it’s €15 per person and very poor. (Meaning coffee, tea, bread and cold scrambled eggs)

Convenient location - short walk to all the major sights, and a good local supermarket to stock the fridge/mini-kitchen. Comfortable but not sleek - no elevators and wooden or stone floors. Staff were helpful - Florence is overrun with tourists right now, creating problems with taxis and dinner reservations and such. The staff were great at figuring out alternative plans when necessary.
