We really enjoyed our stay at this Apartment. We felt safe walking around the neighborhood. I especially appreciated the communication with Ana . We missed our flight and were delayed a day, she was very accommodating and understanding in constant contact with me trying to arrange a airport transport, morning or night she was there to reassure me. The only secure thing I felt about our travels up to that point . Then we were very pleased to meet our driver Fransico, friendly and kind advising us on everything to make our stay comfortable and doable . He went on to drive us to the train station the next day and shared with us his person ambition to someday have his own travel business. I wish him all the luck and success.
If you are a woman traveling alone, you can be at peace knowing Ana and Fransico truly care and our supportive .
I’d like to return and definitely would stay at this same location . Walking distance to town, lots of places to eat , shop, little further from port but the Funicular helps with the incline .
I can’t say it was quite only because there happened to be a private party going on next door . But I don’t think it’s a regular occurrence. No bars or clubs just a special event , I mean it was a Saturday night after all .
I highly recommend Simon Apartments for your Porto stay.

Had a lovely stay. Balcony was a plus and owners were super helpful and fully explained the area and options for dining, touring and entertainment. All the rooms were a comfortable size and well furnished.

Excellent location, it is a quiet neighborhood; an artist collective area where they make and sell (high end) affordable quality goods. Many excellent restaurants within 10-15 minute walk. The apt. was spacious, modern; very large living room with a sleeper couch, air conditioning, washer/dryer (bonus!), eat-in kitchen comfortable for two people. Two twin beds that were separated, but could be moved together as a queen-sized bed. Coffee machine, dishes, glasses/cups, silverware; and a few items for actual cooking. Ana was amazing! She gave tips on the area, places to eat, and information on the area. As a reference, the apt. is only a 15 min. walk to the Douro River. Highly recommend!
