    Our bittersweet stay in Tugawe. They have exceptional staff who made it extra sweet. Their fast response to our needs in either facility/room repair or resort activities assistance is exemplary. The food was great too. Although on our first day, we waited a very long time for the food to arrive. We didn't know that we could have our dinner at the other restaurant at the top of the resort. That's the bitter part and the walk to the beach. We were informed before we booked our room that there would be 200 steps (flight of stairs). And the resort would really need repairs due to past typhoons. Our room is large for 5 people, but the cable TV is not working, and there is a poor internet connection. But I think it's part of the charm of Tugawe, as you will enjoy each other's company. Overall, we had an unplugged great time and relaxed on the beach (with a few iguanas on the side). Special thanks to Ms. Rochelle, who assisted me with my booking inquiries, and also to Sir Leo, whose eagerness to serve and assist us in any way. Tugawe is very lucky to have you both.

    Staff were great from booking to checking out. Food was perfect. Clean amenities but could do with updating/refurbishing. I'm leaving 4 stars only as wifi is one of the most important service an expensive resort should provide - it was difficult to let family know we were safe after a series of road and boat transfers (we didn't have local sim). Otherwise, we had the most blessed staycation. Thank you to staff and interns.
