My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at Mason La Sax. The owners were there on site and took amazing care of everything. They even did our laundry, helped us find our way around town, and guided us back to the TMB trail after a very needed few rest days. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

The service at this hotel was very disappointing. The owner claimed there was parking available, but the only option provided was a public lot down the hill—meaning you'll need to haul your luggage about 400 meters uphill (the owner insists it’s just 70 meters, but it definitely feels much farther). To make matters worse, the lot isn’t even reserved for the hotel and is almost always full. When questioned, the manager seemed to think this lack of parking was perfectly normal and still advertises it as an amenity. The situation gets even more inconvenient: if you somehow manage to find a spot, you’re required to move your car between 6:00 and 10:00 AM or risk getting towed! The listing also mentioned street parking, but the narrow streets make this impossible—there isn’t a single spot where you can park on the street. Finally, if you expect any support with a refund, don’t count on it. The owner ignored calls from Expedia and never confirmed my request. My honest recommendation: the owner should update the listing to accurately reflect the parking situation and save future guests from similar frustration. the future.

Amazing place! Cannot say enough about how much we loved it! Owners are so incredibly helpful! Short and nice flat walk to middle of village. Amazing views from rooftop deck, Room 6!!! I’d stay here every single time in Courmayuer. Breakfast is plentiful, great quality and so good. No place can beat the charm and uniqueness of this boutique style stay!

Had a lovely stay at Maison La Saixe! The owner was very kind and helpful and the room was nice. Quaint hotel with cool decorations and the breakfast was also amazing. Only down side is it’s a little far from the main town of Courmayeur (about 12 min walk). Overall really enjoyed my stay and would recommend staying here!

This place is so very special and historic! Very unique neighborhood with a convenient 10 minute stroll to downtown. I took so many pictures. Very helpful staff. I am so glad I picked this place. Food was excellent and so very delish!

We stayed here during our hike of the Tour Du Mont Blanc. In a nutshell, lovely rooms with charming personalities and decor, wonderful hospitality and service, and good location. It felt a little bit far from the city centre, but once we arrived the concierge showed us the quickest way into town right away, it's only about a 10-15 minute flat walk. We originally ordered our breakfast to go but then we changed our minds the morning of and they kindly let us eat in the dining area. Breakfast was really good, I wish we stayed an extra night. We ordered laundry service which dried in time for our hike the next day. And last of all, as we left for the TMB they kindly showed us the most direct way to get on our trail with no backtracking.

Located in La Saxe, which is less than 10 min walk to Courmayeur center. This B&B is upgraded with a rustic decor. The breakfast was served individually based on our time. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Very unique 350 year old house yet modern upgrades with 360 degree balcony view of mountains to include Mount Blanc (honeymoon suite room #6). Beware. Google maps will guide you down Medieval passageways that were not designed for modern day vehicles

Had a great stay in August of 2021 while doing the TMB. Friendly host with good information around Courmayeur and a friendly tourist map, and great food recommendations to try around the city. Great location only a few mins walk to the city center. Breakfast was fantastic and included with the stay and provided a variety of options from healthy, sweet, or savory menu options. Would recommend staying here and would stay here again whenever in Courmayeur.

Hotel is a beautifully renovated period typical mountain house in a very quiet location as no cars are allowed inside the hamlet. Parking is not on site, however there are several free parking options within 5 minutes walk or less. Both the hotel and the hamlet are characterful and picturesque. The hosts are welcoming and happy to share tips on activities on the surrounding area

The Maison La Saxe is a rare and valuable gem, not to be missed. In a world of homogenized chains, this hotel is the antidote; it reminds you of why we travel and why it is great to meet new people in places that are different from your own. The hotel is in a tiny village, just on the edge of Courmayeur, that feels like time travel. You park a bit below the hotel and then walk into the village, into the interconnected series of stone and wood buildings, all purpose-built to save space and shelter from the weather and share a well and a courtyard. We were greeted with a giant smile by Raphael who told us about the building's history over the centuries and his father's efforts to make a sensitive architectural intervention. It was my son's first day in Italy and meeting Raphael at this exquisite place was exactly what I had hoped for. Fantastic local breakfast, great architectural details and a new friend in Raphael. Next time, I want to bring my favorite friends and family and rent the whole place (6 rooms) for a few days and really get into the rhythm of the place. I cannot recommend the Maison La Saxe enough.

This is a small, unique property walking distance from the center of town. Raphael is so kind and attentive. He kindly even picked us up from the cablecar station when we were too tired from hiking the TMB. The breakfast is outstanding. The hotel uses all local products. They should really charge more for the lovely visit that we enjoyed!

Excellent location with a magnificent host in the most beautiful village of the Alps. Raphael is present to ensure everything about your stay is perfect. He loving restored his in which is a 300 year old building and just exquisite. He provides you with easy to follow directions to follow large segments of the Mont Blanc Trail and have great restaurant recommendations. It is hard to leave such a beautiful place.

Lovely hosts offering personal and attentive service. Steady breakfast for being Italy. Small cosy place renovated with heart and smartness. Our room was a bit too small for a ski holiday and the sound went through the walls from other guest rooms. But all in all great value for money.
