The hotel is nothing to do with 5* and from the start no one was there to welcome and even to collect luggage. Then at the room TV does not work. Room is big yet seems like proper cleaning has not been done. Outside the chairs are worn out and has not maintained properly. I ordered a pot of tea and it was not drinkable. I frankly have no idea why they call themselves a 5*. I would say 2+ or 3*.

Here's a polished hotel review: I stayed at Club Waskaduwa on a Half Board (HB) basis, and overall, I had a pleasant stay. The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The swimming pool was great, and the sea view from the hotel was beautiful. However, the food was only average. The buffet did not offer much variety, and the taste of the dishes could be improved. I hope the hotel will enhance the buffet selection and improve the overall quality and flavor of the food. Overall, it was a good stay, mainly because of the comfortable rooms, nice pool, and beautiful views.This version is suitable for posting on platforms like Google Reviews or TripAdvisor.

While this property is advertised as a 5-star resort, it unfortunately does not live up to that standard. The amenities are quite lacking and in poor condition. The buffet was another letdown, offering a disappointing selection and quality for the price. On a positive note, the staff members are very friendly and polite, though they seem quite inexperienced and lacking in proper training. Overall, if you are booking this expecting a 3-star experience, it is perfectly fine. However, it is nowhere near worth the 5-star price tag.
