The Bushel by Greene King Inns

My wife and i stay in Bury st Edmunds every august bank holiday weekend for either one or two nights to visit relatives and explore the food and drink festival,we have stayed here before several times and would stay again,we like this particular venue as you can park onsite free if staying,breakfast costs extra and it finishes at 9am,we unfortunately missed it by a few minutes so had to go elsewhere,i think a slightly later finish time would be appreciated by most guests if possible. We had a meal the eve of our stay which was nice,1x mixed grill and 1x pie,we both enjoyed it. I compare prices of local venues when booking so may well see you again next year.

Very well placed to Bury Town centre,car parking available to staying guests,we stayed here once before in one of the outside rooms,we where right above the Bar this time which was absolutely fine,we preferred this room to the last one. We had several drinks in the bar and ordered food which was nice,we would definitely return and probably will.

Parking is a bonus,room was small but good enough for 1 or 2 night stay,pretty clean but we encounter some dust on various things,staff all friendly enough. We would stay again,shame no breakfast included with our booking the Old Cannon Brewery nearby included a breakfast the previous night pretty much same price stay,they don't have Parking though. We like the pub and location to the town centre. Green light on fire safety exit illuminated all night which whilst slightly annoying is probably a legal requirement.
