Hôtel le Cantarel

Nice hotel & very friendly owners/staff in the centre of a largely deserted small town. You get the sense that they don't see many visitors when everyone in the bar wants to talk to you when you arrive and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. The owner of the house across the street even insisted that I should put my motorbike the their garage in case it rained in the night. The room was a little tired but otherwise neat & tidy. The restaurant was very good, offering a traditional French menu &, judging by the number of people that come in off the street, must be well regarded in the area. Also, in traditional French style, the kitchen closed at 9.00pm & customers were turned away. There seems to be little to do or see in the town but it was a good comfortable stop-over place.
