Despite the ferry being delayed by 3.5 hours, then a 4.5 hour detour on the roads we were greeted very warmly by the family owners of the hotel when we finally arrived at 12.30am. Immediately we were offered drinks and refreshments which was a wonderful welcome. This set the tone for our stay - nothing was too much trouble, the friendliness and helpfulness was excellent. Breakfasts were excellent with copious amounts of pancakes and coffee. Food was plentiful. Our room was spacious and with a balcony overlooking the village.
We used Espinama as a base and travelled out most days but managed to have a couple of lazy days to enjoy the village.
We are looking forward to our third stay

The view from my balcony was amazing. I would stand and stair at the mountains.
