Staff were great! Restaurants were very good (all three) Overhead shower handle was broken, sink clogged on my last day, and rubber stripping was falling off the balcony sliding door, but I let them know when I checked out. Also, maid accidentally skipped my room on my last full day so I had to call Guest Services.

We stayed at the hotel with family and friends for a week to attend a wedding It was very convenient, in a safe area and is well maintained. the housekeeping staff do a great job We ate at Canto several times - Food and service is excellent During our stay there was a festival lunch in the Grand Ballroom - the buffet spread, music and service was marvellous The highlight for us was The Grand Club. Such helpful, kind and pleasant staff and a good selection of food at breakfast and cocktail hour, Only negative was that despite booking numerous rooms, an upgrade for two nights was declined, apart

This hotel is not near the major tourist areas. It, however, is right on a fantastic stretch of beach. The hotel had good food and my kids loved the pool and beach.

The hotel is new & beautiful. However, construction was underway on my floor which started mornings at 8am. I was in room 328 construction was 3 rooms away. I requested a broom & squeegee to clean my patio & windows. The hotel sent someone to clean it up. The other issue was the outdoor bar seating areas. Tables are often left with dirty glassware & plates. The waitstaff seemed oblivious and unconcerned. I think as a 5 star property the hotel should be more accommodating and come from a place of “yes”. I am planning to return in May and will give the property one more opportunity. My room recommendations are the king suite ocean front room. It’s definitely worth it❤️

Excellent stay at this beautiful Hotel. It has 2 cute restaurants, a very nice pool. A 24 hour open gym. All the staff its very friendly. The beach its wide but it has a lot of street vendors who really bothers. The area its safe.I fully recommend this Hotel.

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro was simply unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with exceptional service by a courteous and attentive staff. The hotel facilities are modern and luxurious, offering an environment of pure comfort and elegance. The room I stayed in was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a stunning view of the beach. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights of sleep. The hotel's restaurants are a highlight in themselves. Every meal was a unique gastronomic experience, with delicious dishes and impeccable service. The location of the Grand Hyatt is perfect, providing easy access to the main tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro, in addition to being situated by the sea, which makes the stay even more special. I must mention the spa, where I had moments of absolute relaxation with treatments that rejuvenated my body and mind. I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro to anyone looking for a luxurious, comfortable stay with excellent service. I will definitely return soon!

Honestly, the photos don't really do this property justice. I am a frequent traveller and found myself in awe several times during my stay. From the breathtaking views to the impeccable service and amenities, I have to give the Grand Hyatt an 11/10. I will be back!

Overall disappointing stay. The staff is a hit and miss. Staff is not well trained and breakfast restaurant is poorly managed and food is not great. The lady serving fruit at breakfast is particularly rude. Check in and check out takes forever. I had to call reception every day to request the room to be cleaned. The shower and tap from sink had no pressure making it hard to have a shower or wash hands. For the price point I’d expect a much better hotel. The only great thing is the swimming pool.

One thing I liked about was quiet no disturbances at night wile you are at sleep. I didn’t like the fact that the room photos at the website is not exactly what i expected and the staff taking away to long to even try to fix any issues, also shower and toilet was smelling like sewage and the sink was draining very slowly.
