    Authentic boutique hotel with friendly staff, nice breakfast and relaxed atmosphere in perfect location in the middle of the Dutch fort. All there is to see is within walking distance. Happy to recommend.

    Mango House Boutique Hotel is a beautifully renovated property centrally located inside Galle Fort. I really loved how accessible it is, just a few minutes walk, to all the sites that can be visited inside the Fort. It only has 7 rooms, all well maintained and clean. The staff are all very gracious and accommodating and respond quickly to guests' needs. Pradeep at reception very kindly upgraded me to a room with a balcony. Sampath, also at reception, was very kind and gracious, and gave very useful tips to travelers, and also allowed me a late check out. Their breakfast is plated, and has 3 options, 2 Western and one Sri Lankan. The eggs Benedict and the curd were delicious and very filling. You can have a refill of coffee or tea. They have a beautifully decorated restaurant on site which serves delicious food at prices comparable to other restaurants in the area. I love and appreciate that they are eco-friendly, using glass bottles for water in the rooms. They refill the bottles any time you need it. I had a great two night stay and would definitely return again.

    We're recently started at Mango House. Had a wonderful welcome. Was given a delicious mango smoothie and refreshing nut, sugar and cumin seed mix - was so lovely!! Rooms are a little on the small side but we were offered a choice of rooms. Breakfast outside amongst the trees was so relaxing and again delicious. A truly lovely start at Mango House

    We booked two nights but had to leave after the first night as room (room 1) was substandard - small and claustrophic withonly one smallwindow opening into reception area (no terrace/balcony as described in on line booking)musty smell and worst of all, gap at top of the shower wall so we could hear every sound from the kitchen when using the bathroom (kitchen staff could obviously then hear us). The Manager was unable to move us to another room because apparently they were fully booked. We had lunch - adequate but meagre. Breakfast was poor. We moved to other accommodation only two minutes walk away and for the same price received a large and luxurious room with modern bathroom in a character building. No comparison. We dont normally complain about a room but we were so disappointed to receive this room and for the price we paid to be within the Fort, this room really was unacceptable and more suited to a backpackers or budget accom, not a boutique guest house.
