This was a stunning castle to stay in. The frescoed ceilings were gorgeous. Loved every minute that we were there. The staff were wonderful. The only thing i would recommend is to add a vending machine and maybe to offer pastries in thr morning.

This is a great value for families. Stepping out in the morning to picture perfect Tuscany landscapes is delightful. We stayed in the Castello proper a few years ago and I admit I was disappointed to stay in one of the out buildings this time but it accommodated our family of five nicely. We arrived just in time for the on-site restaurant to add us for dinner the first night and it was a TREAT! We could get to the outskirts of Florence in 25-30 minutes and using this as a launch point for day trips to Cinque Terra and Tuscan farm activities to the South was precisely why we came here again. Driving back up into the hills was like coming home. Don't miss that last turn though! LOL

The front desk hostess, Valentina, helped with all our questions about the castle and Tuscany. The property is beautiful and you really feel like you are back in time.

the no frills apartment we rented suited our needs well, we had the basics of what we needed to eat in, ample parking, lovely setting. bathroom updated and clean. The castle history was interesting and charming. The on site restaurant, I felt, was overpriced for the servings offered.
