Facilities are a bit dated and more on the simple side, but that is why the prices are going to be lower at Belle Isle Motel. If budget is a primary consideration, this place should be on your list to consider. Place was acceptably clean. There is a really good seafood restaurant practically next door called C-Ray Lobster that has the best lobster roll and/or lobster roll in the area and is more reasonablly priced than others. That may be one of the better selling points of this motel.
If price is an important factor and you just need a safe place to sleep and it doesn't need to be fancy, with access to authentic and superior local lobster, Belle Isle is worthy of your consideration.
I would stay here again in the future since price is important and I can manage with a more rustic or basic accomdation.

Located about 15 minutes away from Bar Harbor on MDI, it is a good value stay for those with a car wanting to visit Acadia on a reasonable budget.

The Belle Isle is a bit like stepping back in time, the facilities are older but are very well maintained. The location and relatively low cost make it a great starting point for your family’s Acadia adventures. Tom and Leslie really make the experience unforgettable, they both work really hard to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Tom had a fire ready every night and made it a point to ensure all of the kids had fun in the pool and at the park. Leslie provided continental breakfasts via paper order request and kept the rooms sparkling clean. Thank you so much for making our first motel stay an enjoyable experience.

Motel was ok, but they charged an extra 16 dollars for no reason.
