We stayed in Aurora for two weeks. There is a lot to see and do in and around Albenga. The apartments are close-by the beach, city center, and train station. The owner, Andrea, is really friendly, as well as the other staff. The furniture is basic but OK. We had an apartment with separate bedroom and a spacey, sunny balcony on the top floor. The only thing my partner did not like was the broken parasol. But as it was the end of the season, I expect they will repair those things after the season. If you want shade, you better ask for an apartment on the ground floor.

As before we enjoyed our stay in The Aurora. Love albenga as my wife is disabled and it is very flat so very good to get around with a wheelchair. Looking forwards to our next stay.

We arrived in Albenga in the rain after a long drive from Milan Linate- thankfully we were immediately greeted by the owner who told us with the help of a map, where all the main points of interests in town are before personally showing us the appartment. He assured us the rain would stop- and he was correct! The outside of the property features a nice patio area between the reception and that great pool where the free wi-fi is best!!! All guests were invited to a complimentary BBQ and live music on one of the evenings during our stay. Great evening! To be fair, the appartment is more basic than luxurious but perfectly clean and more than adequate for our purposes. The area around the hotel is in need of a bit of regeneration-but this can hardly be blamed on Aurora and the coast and supermarkets and the old town are all within walking distance. The swimming pool is what brought us here and we were most impressed by it's cleanliness and quality. Quite often photos on internet sites can be a bit misleading- but this is quite possibly one of the best pools we have ever had access to on holiday- ever! So we would go back.....preferred Alassio as a resort.....but it's only a 10 minute drive away....and we couldn't find anywhere there with as good a pool as Aurora. Put this together with the friendly and helpful hosts and you have a recipe for a good holiday appartment.
