    Love the lounge for kids and they provide free drinks and ice popsicles and even marshmallows for kids to bbq.

    A dated hotel, but these things made up for it - free amenities (diapers, facial cleanser, gel, moisturizer, masks, heat pack etc), free snacks (popsicle, tidbits, marshmallows, cakes, donuts, drinks, beer), free indoor playground & games. Plentiful hanging hooks for our winter gear in the room & superb location for skiing/snowboarding.

    Went because the buffet was highly rated but this is likely due to snow season - if you're on a budget this place is great because the rooms can squeeze lots of people in, making this a cheap option at the base of a run. Foreigners looking for cheap accommodation during snow season will likely find the buffet an amazing deal (since it would be a small top up vis-a-vis peak room pricing). However outside of snow season, the rooms that are 100% single beds are on the pricey side in quiet Furano, and the buffet starts to feel overpriced compared to what else you could be eating in Hokkaido (famous even within Japan for food). The quality of produce in the buffet was good because its Hokkaido - you just can't get bad stuff there. The issues are: - Dining time is hilariously strict and limited, and they've designed the bbq so you're never going to eat any fill. The grill is too tiny and the fire far too low that you aren't likely to make any headway even in the 90min dining time that you get (a timing they are super strict on - you have to GET OUT at 90 mins even if your food is still cooking.) Back to the fire - the scallops are huge (yay) and you'd be lucky to get three in the tiny grill. Thereafter the flames are so diffuse and low that you will spend approximately 15 mins trying to cook them, and even then you're not sure if they are cooked through because the heat is so dodgy. During the meal, there was chef overlooking some of the cooked food who kept on coughing - no mask, no turning away, no covering with his hand, just coughing over all the exposed food (tempura and other cooked dishes). Probably the worst evening i'd ever had in all my years travelling up and down Japan. We had to go to lawsons to get food and drink (after a buffet!!!) and could barely sleep because the beds were tiny and not particularly comfortable. The onsen is small and while the colour of the water of the outdoor one is nice, there's little else to say (it didnt feel particularly mineralised either). Despite it being quite inexpensive, I wouldnt recommend it to anyone I know....maybe in snow season if someone's on a budget..
