External bathroom, not explained. It meant we had to unlock our door, cross the hall, unlock bathroom, use it, lock back up, cross the hall, unlock bedroom. Also, AFTER, payment received, we get a notice that says we cannot check in after 6pm. What???? Parking was NOT available. We were told we should have made a car reservation--doesnt say so in the listing. So we had to park 1/2 mile away and pay for it. Two Nights.Yet, there were avail spots in front which were used by day workers. We could have parked overnight.

We are a family of 4 travelling. We knew, 2 would be sleeping on the couch in the living room. The couch was not comfortable to sleep on - at all! The only one not complaining, was our youngest, who is 5. The apartment was fine, but very budget furnished. We could've used more than 6 dinner plates and a larger kitchen knife. And I don't know why the beds in the bedroom is only 80x200... The location is great! And the balcony is really nice. Remember to book parking in advance, there are not enough for all guests and free parking is hard to find close to the hotel.

Close to town and family run by the looks of it. My toilet had some issues, but other than that it was a fine place to stay when most of the time is spent out sightseeing. The view from the room looked into the lake and that was beautiful!

This is a nice family run hotel. My room was single but plenty big and en suite (not sure about others, I think mine was the only en suite). They were flexible with check in and all although they didn’t even consider my request to check out late. The annoying thing was not being able to flush down toilet paper (!!!) I felt like I wasn’t in Europe anymore. I didn’t try breakfast as there was a supermarket 5min away so I bought food (no fridge or kettle in the room). Most shops, supermarkets and pharmacies are closed on Sunday. The hotel is 25 min walk from the train station, and the buses 6 or 7 stop there (stop Stadhalle, which is across the street from hotel). There are lots of restaurants nearby.Lubeck old town is enclosed like an island, so this hotel is in a great location to see everything. Very beautiful views across the river nearby.

The holiday apartment is spacious and comfortable. It would be a great place to stay for several days. We were there two nights. Longer would have been great! The hotel is currently hard to reach due to construction. Parking is far away. Check-in is restricted to just 3 hours a day (3-6 PM) and staff does not speak English.

This is a short review for a 5 day in one of the apartments. We were amazed when we saw the apartment. I could really live here! Clean, new, cozy, with (a somewhat slow) wifi and all we needed to make any food in the kitchen. Clean and neat. The location is perfect, almost no noise, wonderful view from the balcony and a nice street, just a few minutes to walk to the city center - and all this to a very reasonable price. We will definitely choose Hotel am Muhlenteich the next time we are in wonderful Lübeck!

Wonderful apartment for the price of a hotel room. Very clean and kitchen with pots, pans, plates, bowls and utensils. No soaps or shampoo provided in the apartment. Front view was street. Beautiful views of scenic pond from bedrooms. Would definitely stay here again. Medium walk to city center but manageable.

My stay didn't happen because there was a serious train accident that delayed all the trains and when we finally arrived at the hotel at 11:15pm we found the hotel closed. There was no way to reach anyone from the hotel to help. The hotel was locked and no staff was present. We had to stay in a different hotel. When we went to this hotel the next day for a refund they said we had to deal with Hotels.com directly. Upon returning to the states we learned that wasn't true. This hotel is not worth taking a chance on as if something unfortunate happens -you are out of luck! Unfair!
