When we reached Taichung in the afternoon, we were already tired and wished to take a short rest. To our absolute shock, the Reception informed us that we could only check in at 5pm earliest - this is very bad!

If you are 6 feet or taller, you won’t be able to shower comfortably. I’m 6’3” and my shoulders were an inch from the shower ceiling.
Staff were helpful and super nice, especially with a last minute reservation.
There was no hand soap, so I had to use shower gel to wash my hands.
The mattress was very hard and thin. I could feel every spring, so I woke a few times during the night.
Figuring out the AC was fun, if you can’t read Chinese characters, make sure to use Google translate.
Generally the whole facility needs a renovation and update, but it’s not terrible for what it is. I’ve been to worse, that’s for sure.
