Couple of issues we’re sorted quickly by the lovely staff 👌

Staff were friendly & courteous, amenities were good. The only issue was the room was looking very tired & needed updated/decorated & repairs made as soon as possible as there were big stains on the carpets in the corridor, a hole in the window frame where you you could see through to the outside. There were also water stains on the ceiling and the wallpaper on the ceiling was also coming away. The beg & bedding & the bathroom were very clean. Even with the above issues we would still stay at the Falcon again as we have not been put off.

Found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was especially good. The bedroom would benefit from some tlc although as Falcon has new owners we appreciate they must have a lot on right now, especially at this time of year.

On arrival the member of staff on duty was friendly and chatty. Booked us in, told us what room to go to. Upon entering this room it had not been serviced after previous guest had vacated. We were transferred to another room. There was a strange smell as you walked into this room and it had cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom needed a deep clean. Only good thing we found about this stay was a very good breakfast with friendly staff. Will not stay here again.

Great little very reasonably priced hotel. A bit dated but clean and lots of room. Nadine was fab and so friendly at check in and at the bar. Didn’t expect the church bells so often during the night, but not the hotels fault. Breakfast was nice. Free parking too so can’t ask for more given the price.

I had a good stay, it was spacious and affordable with a homely atmosphere, my room was larger then I expected but did find the bed was a little uncomfortable, the bathroom was well kept and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Tiny, uncomfortable bed, bathroom hadn’t been cleaned, toilet was full of toilet paper and waste- absolutely disgusting, no shower gel, kareoke right under the room. Staff never seemed to be around, not even the offer of a free drink after the disgusting bathroom!

Dated property but comfortable good-sized room - bed and good shower. Creaky and slightly sloping floor. Good free breakfast in morning served by owner. Good value for the price (£40).

The property is central for the town so it was good in that respect this was our second stay there the last visit being 8 years ago but unfortunately the experience wasn’t great this time around the room we had was to small for a double and single beds and it was very tired paper coming of the ceiling furniture was old which is fine but needs work the beds certainly need replacing, the bathroom was large but needs updating could not shower as I felt the sealer around the bath would cause a leak and it looked bad it’s a shame because the staff are good and the breakfast was quite good would I stay here again the answer would have to be no.

Hotels.com should delist this establishment Everything about this place is a rundown pub with totally uncared for rooms A serious lack of investment means the rooms are no where near good enough to be advertised as hotel The evening food was very poor I choose a simple burger and chips, this was also very disappointing with stale toasted bun and awful chips This is more like a hostel Breakfast was very poor standard the room was already set out to hold a meeting and there was no effort to cater for guests

The bed was small and uncomfortable. The pillows small. No shower; only a tub.The walls and tub base had holes and cuts. The only light in the room was a ceiling light with a lampshade. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and helpful.

the Falcon is a very old building and shows it with steep stairs, funny passages and odd steps. I stayed in Room 2 , a double with spare single bed. overlooking the front street. Luckily it was a warm night as none of the window furniture shut the windows as all-it would have been freezing in winter. The double bed could use a new mattress. The shower is fine drzzle despite a pump fitted. i ate a dinner which was adequate in size but a bit too much "microwave and pub grub" - plus real ale which was ok

Hotel a bit rickety and old fashioned. Shower and toilet facilities a bit tight but at least the room had them. Good wholesome & plentyful. Fabulous open Mike night with eclectic selection of musicians and music. Fabulous .😂 Jemma did great job of cleaning.
