The natural beauty around the property is absolutely stunning! The rooms are beautifully appointed. Friendly staff. It is hard to get to (winding roads) but well worth it!

Abeilona Retreat is a beautiful property with a gorgeous view of the mountains and wonderful landscaping, and a lovely room with a deck with view of the mountains . We had a delicious dinner and wonderful breakfast with many options. The woman who runs the retreat was helpful and nice and she told us the eggs were local down the road which I quite enjoyed . The restaurant is in a bucolic sparsely populated area. It is best to travel by day as some of the roads are narrow. Once you get to the small village you need to drive up a short narrow road and you can’t see the hotel from the Main Street. We got a little turned around so we called but a man from the hotel came down to greet us.

We stumbled across this retreat almost by accident and it was the highlight of our trip to Greece. We’ve traveled the entire country and seen the most amazing places but the Ambelona Retreat is in its a class of its own.
From the amazing service from our host George, to the phenomenal views and architecture, this place can only be described as magical.
We will 100% be back and I can’t wait.
