Quinta do Scoto

Unique building, quiet area( except for local dogs barking) good parking. Wonderful outdoor space. The hosts lives there, has dogs. They are well behaved (they weren't barking) horses too! Playground, trampoline, soccer net. Beautiful little garden with a chess set. A kitchen available. The breakfast was exceptional, she put actual love into the food.

We liked the owner Maria who was very helpful with everything. Pool is great. There is no AC.

A little slice of paradise! The old converted farmhouse is beautiful and charming. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the room huge by any standard especially for Europe. Beautiful pool and fruit and flower trees everywhere! Two very sweet but large dogs, so keep that in mind if tou are afraid of dogs. My eight-year-old and four-year-old loved them. You need a car here as everything is a 5 minute drive away including the train. The host was for than helpful and accommodating, helping you plan your visit, providing train tickets etc. We loved our stay here and plan on being back.

We had an amazing stay at Quinta do Scoto in Portugal. This is a truly unique and peaceful property, perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. Maria was an exceptional host—warm, genuine, attentive, and always happy to help. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The property is beautiful, with three calm horses, two friendly dogs, and a wonderful variety of fruit trees that add to its charm. The swimming pool was spotless and very well maintained, making it a great place to unwind. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a good selection of fresh food, including freshly baked bread rolls, croissants, and eggs cooked to order. If you’re looking for a tranquil, friendly, and authentic place to stay in Portugal, we highly recommend Quinta do Scoto. It was a memorable experience, and we would gladly return.
