Perfect for family

Firstly, kudos to all the staff on duty between March 19-20. All were friendly and helpful. From receptions, house keeping and breakfast attendant team. Pool was wellmaintained and clean Room was squicky clean too. Breakfast was awesome but I would suggest to have more meat option for non pork consumers like us. But other than that everything was amazingly beautiful and awesome stay.

The deposit was only $100. I was more than willing to provide a $500 cash deposit using my Visa Debit card with proof that i had my credit card but the supervisor still refused to accept it and told me that a credit card was required. I find this extremely unreasonable. I have stayed at five-star hotels in Banff, not bum f**k Sasktoon where there is nothing, where cash deposits are accepted without any issue. I don’t understand why I was unable to provide a $500 deposit in this situation, especially when the required deposit was only $100. I travelled from Alberta with my mom for a reunion that was the only i booked here was the location for the reunion and we were exhausted when we arrived. I had a valid reservation through Agoda, and there was no clear information during the booking process stating that a credit card was mandatory for the deposit. If this requirement had been clearly disclosed, I could have made arrangements beforehand. I had a Visa Debit card and was willing to provide $500 ,five times the required deposit. but the supervisor refused to accept it. I also tried to find other solutions, including using my husband’s credit card, but because he was back in Alberta and not physically present, that was refused as well. This whole situation lasted approximately an hour. After at least 25 minutes of arguing with the supervisor, another guest who was simply trying to get another room key saw what was happening and offered to put his credit card down for the deposit and also made a comment that the supervisor wasnt willing to work with me, so that I could finally get into my room. For a $100 deposit, I feel this was handled completely unnecessarily. I was willing and able to provide more than enough security for the hotel, yet no reasonable alternative was offered. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and with the lack of clear disclosure when I made my booking through Agoda.
