    We recently stayed at the Waverley International Hotel for two nights (Friday and Saturday) after booking a twin room through Agoda. On arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady at reception who was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Unfortunately, our experience after that was disappointing. When we entered our room, it was noticeably more dated and of a lower standard than we were expecting based on the photos displayed on the Waverley International Hotel website. The room also appeared to be missing several basic amenities. Our beds had no coverlets, each bed had only one pillow (with only one spare pillow available in the wardrobe), there were no face washers in the bathroom, and the TV remote control was missing. We had to return to reception to request another pillow and a replacement remote. On Saturday, we left our used towels in the bathroom before heading out for the day, expecting the room to be serviced. However, when we returned at around 7:30 pm, the room had not been serviced and our dirty towels were still on the bathroom floor. We had to make another trip to reception to obtain clean towels. We also found there were no instructions on the room phone explaining how to contact reception, which made it more inconvenient than it needed to be. While we appreciated the excellent customer service from the reception staff, the condition of the room, the missing amenities, and the lack of housekeeping significantly impacted our stay. Overall, our experience was less enjoyable than we had hoped, particularly as it did not match the expectations set by the hotel’s website. We hope this feedback is helpful and that these issues can be addressed for future guests.
