The time was very nice here in Greece. The hotel is located near the party mile.. There are a lot of shops, groceries and locals., but it was also quiet to relax. The sea is also near hotel.
The people were very friendly.
What I didn't like was the bathroom. The toilet was terrible in our room. .....

The manager, Akins, went out of his way to go to buy hand soap for the room when we asked for some. Breakfast was included which we hadn’t known. Pool area is large and pretty. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beach. We dined for 3 nights at Knossos Taverna nearby. Owners were very friendly, cousins to manager of Golden Bay. Many menu options, recommend eating there.

I arrived late and got upgraded to a big apartment, the owner was really friendly and the breakfast was great quality. The pool is lovely and gets a great view of the sunset. It's far enough away from the touristy strip of Malia that you don't feel as if you're near it. Definitely recommended.
