The Views Baia - Adults Only

The location is great, close to everything yet tucked away for peace. The hotel building is beautiful and the views from the pools, solarium, breakfast area, bar is phenomenal. We tried multiple stays during our trip in madeira and Portugal overall and this was easily the best.

We stayed as a couple celebrating our engagement and had a fantastic experience. The check-in staff were very helpful and polite, making everything smooth and even arranging a lovely surprise in our room. The room was amazing and very clean, and the location is perfect, close to town. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Not worth the money at all. It’s all a facade at the reception in terms of ambience and design. The upper floors are dated/ poorly renovated. The only real good thing was the view. Otherwise; the breakfast very repetitive and ordinary. Not to mention they have a so-called “deluxe” breakfast that you can have only if you pay separately for the items, on top of the breakfast cost. I found that a bit annoying and just another way to scam and overcharge you since the menu contained similar ingredients with the general breakfast, but of course not so carrefully cooked. The location ia not great. Pretty far from the city centre- 30 min walk. If you have a car and you want to have a drink the only way to get there is by getting a taxi. Another very annoying thing: They only have - or so they said- ONE IRON in the whole hotel (2 buildings) that you can only use in an abandoned weird service room at the third floor in one of the building. No possibility to have one in the room, even if you pay for it. You always have to carry your clothes through all the LOBBY, RECEPTION, ELEVATORS and so on.I’ve never seen that in my life. Nevertheless, the worst thing by far was the staff(ladies at the reception) which was not helpful at all. It seemed like i was literally talking to a robot; terrible lack of flexibility or desire to help/understand clients. I made two different reservations(4 nights+ 3 nights) because of little availability on the website. I kindly asked them if we have and possibility to keep the room since it would be very difficult to pack and unpack just to move to another room. They vehemently told us there is not way to do so. They didn’t even have the intention to try to help us. All in all, when we moved to the new room, we asked them to put the same topper on the mattress so we could have a double bed. They hadn’t moved it, even though they knew we were switching rooms and specifically mentioned we wanted a double bed. When we arrived at the accommodation at 6 pm, they told me there was absolutely no housekeeper available at that hour to help with the topper. So I understand that if you have any issue with your room after lunchtime, you’re basically on your own. Pathetic. Avoid this hotel – it’s not worth the money.
