Crystal Lodge Motel

I have rented a room at the Crystal Lodge twice to host family coming into town. The first time was several years ago. I had my sister come a week ago for my daughter’s birthday party. And was horrified to hear what she experience. First of all when she arrived, the television wasn’t working because the box was missing and after she let the management know she was assured would be resolved. She would get a discount during her two nights day that never occurred after coming home late that first night after coming to our birthday party, she went into the room and opened up the bed and saw that there was something that appeared to be semen in the bed. She realized the fridge was also leaking, and when her young son was walking across the floor, his feet turned black from some sort of residue in the carpet. She had been so uncomfortable with the interaction from the Management] earlier that she didn’t mention anything, but instead, she and her two sons slept on top of the covers with her own blankets and pillow pillows. I called the Crystal Lodge twice after I heard about the situation on the day she left and both times was assured a manager would get back to me. That never happened. I also asked my sister to call to see if they could at the very least apologize and preferably provide some sort of compensation for an unacceptable situation. She also was rebuffed. In general, I found this disturbing and disgusting situation. You can look at my reviews. I generally don’t leave folks negative reviews, but this was unacceptable and I caution other visitors to look closely. My mother did have a decent experience when she visited a few years back, although she knew that the rooms were somewhat worn but clean at the time. I don’t know if there’s been a change in management, but what my little sister faced was unacceptable and to be honest embarrassing as someone hosting her.

Rooms are nicer than the exterior might suggest. Rooms are clear. AC was weak, if you're sensitive to that kind of thing. Staff was easy going.

I felt the ad photos for this motel mis-represented it. In the ad photos it showed nice full kitchen areas complete with stoves, but when we got to our room there was only about a 3 foot kitchen counter with only a microwave and very small refrigerator. The bathroom had dried blood on the wall. Although the sheets and towels were clean the room & bathroom itself were not Very disappointing

The room was too noisy; we couldn't sleep at all! The room smelled like a toilet.
