The bathroom was horrible. The shower door would fall off the rails and water would accumulate to your ankles. Addressed the issue to the front desk and the man at the desk said they know and happens all the time. We booked a room at the hotel we thought we had booked but when we showed up they sent us to another hotel that was farther then from what we booked and had to cross a major road to get to the room

I wouldn’t stay at Hotel Palma again. When I booked, the hotel location shown was close to Roma Termini, but upon arrival, I found out the actual address was different. The hotel is in another building, farther away from the station, which was misleading. That alone was already frustrating, but it got worse. The room I was given had serious issues with cleanliness and maintenance. The bathroom drain was clogged every time I showered or brushed my teeth, dirty water came back up through the drain. I informed the reception, and their only attempt to fix it was with a sink plunger, which obviously didn’t work. Even with the ongoing issue, they didn’t offer me another room or any compensation. I had to stay the entire time with a bad smell and an unusable bathroom, which was very uncomfortable. The overall maintenance of the room was poor, and the cleaning standards left much to be desired. Given the misleading address and the poor handling of a basic issue like drainage, I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers.

Address given was incorrect. They sent us to another address a few blocks away who then sent us to a different building (they have several apartments converted to rooms). Didn’t expect much for the price but the shower head was broken and the shower drained so slowly we had to keep shutting off the shower in order to not flood the place.

The primary building of the 4 in this hotel complex is located at Via Varese, 5 and is the one I like to stay at as it has 24-hour desk personnel on duty and safe boxes in the rooms. When another building of the 4 I was assigned to didn't have either, the manager upgraded me at no charge to a larger room in the Via Varese, 5 building that had a safe box at no charge. This building has excellent security and is only 2-3 blocks from Rome's main train station, Roma Termini, which is great. My room showed its age and could definitely use a refresh, but it is very basic, functional, and clean so the price is reasonable for what you get. The management and other personnel are very friendly and helpful and I stay here all the time when I stop over for my short stays in Rome and will continue to do so in the future.

The location is close to Termini Train Station, metro station, and bus station which is perfect. (around 5 mins walk max) We stayed for 2 nights. 1st night was a nightmare, 1st on Check In there was a man that asked us about our religion and started to tell us about Islam and how we should wear! And the room he gave us was not the same one that we booked! It was a very tiny and dirty room! Especially when we told him about the pillow sheets he told us that they forgot to change it! Then there was a problem with the AC and there was no wifi! They told us that there was a problem with the wifi but it’s not from their side (noting that in the reception there was a wifi) so dunno how! Then at night when we came back to have our shower the towels were very dirty!! We went down to complain and we took other towels! We didn’t sleep at all on the 1st night! Then morning, there were a lady on the reception that was so kind and changed our room and we were surprised that there were wifi and only where we was first we didn’t have (which is the man I think his name was Hasan was lying !!!) The second night room was better and bigger, but overall for cleanliness they can be better!

The location is different from when I book the property, the actual address is "VIALE CASTRO PRETORIO 25 / Palma Residences in Rome" which is another 10 min walk from the original address. The check-in staff request us to pay for the reasonable city tax, but he ONLY accepts cash we do not bring too much cash travelling in Italy. In the end, he DOES have a card machine that he just somehow doesn't want to use, so we could pay the tax using a credit card after all. The room is very old and outdated. The floor seems to mop but is not super clean. The towels provided are heavily used. The AC is really strong which is nice. The shower is very tiny, just able to fit 1 person without turning too much. The showerhead has lots of moulds too. Overall I would want to stay in this place ever again.

We were lucky that we had an upgrade for the room. We had a lot of space for the two of us, in a four person room. The residence lays near by the center city, which makes it easy to walk in and to the area.

I booked 2 rooms. When we checked in about 7 pm, the hotels transferred us to Palma Residence, Building 2, which is very old and dirty residence, without telling us in advance. Receptionists is so so but the cleaning lady named Elisa is wonderful. She was very kind and helpful in assisting us to put luggages in the storage in Palma Residence, building 1 where we thought we would be staying there. Thanks much Elisa. In short, we are very disappointed and will never come back this residence. It needs to be improved in cleanliness and room amenities.

I walked to the other building and couldn’t even find the entrance other than a huge locked metal gate. Gave up on the place entirely and walked to another hotel. Do not book this place, it is garbage.

The pros: the location close to Termini Station; lots of good restaurants in the area; located in a relatively quiet and safe area. The room was clean and well-maintained. The con: the bed was incredibly hard and painful to sleep on; the pillows were so thin as to be essentially non-existant. I would probably stay here again because of the price, but they could invest in a few pillowtops for the mattresses.
