    My husband and I , had an excellent long weekend trip at Kabini along with our friends. Location : Excellent : Closest to the Jungle safari lodges and and at the very early intersection of Kabini. Made for a brilliant drive from BLR. Views : The room views were excellent and they were very neat and clean. I had the river view villa to myself and insane views. Animals would just walk up to the area. Cleanliness : Found this 4/5 and not excellent because I felt maintenance of property could be better Staff : They are great. Specially the chef Ramakanth he was brilliant, made the best mutton champaran, along with other non veg reccos and packed sandwiches for our way back. Had a stellar experience. Aalesh too was good from the front desk- managed our requests Chamraju- also was good but initially goofed up on our safari booking a bit. Food : Was Good and staff gave us good recommendations. Butter chicken, mutton champaran was good. Ala carte was great, breakfast buffet was bleh! The only worthy item was mysore masala dosa Amenities : Are good, good bathroom toiletries , free snacks in the room was a nice touch!

    The property is located on the Kapila river bed so great view from the room. The property is well maintained, hygienic and the staff are polite. At the time of our visit the forest safari was banned by the state government so we had to settle for a sunset boat ride and watch a few residential birds. The big downside of this property was the food which was below average. The taste was not good and the ingredients used were old. We ordered a few fish dishes which were made using old frozen fish and it was not very appetising, this was the same case with the vegetarian dishes and the complimentary breakfast. The only thing we liked was the chicken dishes and dosé If food is a dealbreaker then I would not recommend this place because there are no other options around and this is a property meant for relaxation and rejuvenation and food is an important part of it
